TFPL

TFPL, an Idox Company, provides training and professional services to Knowledge and Information Management (KIM) professionals. Since 1987, we have undertaken Research and Consultancy projects looking at the roles, skills and competencies required in knowledge environments, in information management, and in the development of roles in digital environments. We organise regular thought-leadership and development events in related topics and have established TFPL Connect, which is a learning network for over 700 KIM professionals from all sectors, who meet on a regular basis to share experience, ideas and innovative approaches.

TFPL has helped a variety of organisations develop their information, records and knowledge management skills through our in-house bespoke training programmes, public access courses and documentation. TFPL training provides:

• A wide range of expertise in the design, development and delivery of information, knowledge and records management training. This training can be delivered through our public access calendar; bespoke training packages or tailored courses which can be run in-house for companies.
• TFPL’s training holds the CILIP (Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals) Seal of Recognition. This means that our courses have been validated by CILIP against their Professional Body of Knowledge guidelines and have been confirmed as providing learning to CILIP standards of delivery.
• We have an extensive network of trainers who are professional practitioners in their field of expertise and ensure that the latest techniques and tools are included in their workshops, courses and projects. Our trainers keep up-to-date with emerging trends in the market and many are acknowledged leaders in their fields, presenting at industry events, writing and blogging for a range of audiences.
• In addition, TFPL training is accredited by CPD (Continuing Professional Development) UK. This validates the training delivered to a standard by which the courses can be used for contributing towards continuing professional development objectives by an external independent training body.

Idox Information Solutions

Idox Information Solutions runs one-day training courses and bespoke sessions for practitioners across the public, private and voluntary sector to help them develop their funding skills.

We provide:

• Open training courses at venues across the UK and tailored courses run as closed courses at clients’ own premises.
• Practical and highly-interactive training.
• High-quality supporting documentation which delegates can apply to their own working environment after attending the course.
• A full after-training support service.
• Learning accredited by the CPD (Continuing Professional Development) Certification Service. This validates the training delivered to a standard by which the courses can be used for contributing towards CPD objectives by an external independent training body.
•  An extensive network of in-house trainers and associates who have a sound understanding of both applying for funding and reviewing funding applications.
