Aims
To introduce participants to the practice of NLP and to explore both the positive and negative effects our language patterns can have on patient/client health.
Objectives
• To explore some simple NLP and non-trance inducing hypnotic language patterns that can be used effectively within the therapeutic relationship
• To examine how the placebo and nocebo effects influence therapeutic outcomes
• To review the latest research into the use of language as a therapeutic tool
• To gain practical experience in crafting language patterns to elicit compliance and evaluate how this learning can be transferred into a therapeutic setting
Anne Marshall, RGN, RM, Cert. Ed. (Dist) BSc, D.Hyp (Dist) is a Nurse, Midwife and experienced course presenter. She is currently practising as both a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Business Coach and holds a BSc in Nurse Management and a Postgraduate Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring. She is an Associate Nurse Trainer and External Examiner to the London College of Clinical Hypnosis and in addition holds full professional membership with the International Stress Management Association, the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis and the European Coaching Institute.
With a background lecturing in Midwifery and Acute & Critical Care Nursing together with experience as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, Anne Marshall is able to offer her health and social care audience a wealth of practical knowledge and experience. She is a popular, entertaining and authoritative speaker.
